Final EVER Episode of Entourage

Ads by Google

I haven’t been very responsive to the last few episodes of Entourage, really delaying my reviews when I’ve usually been up and ready with them shortly after each episode is aired. The reason is, our beloved series is ending, and I don’t want it to end!!

It is a double blow to witness all these great episodes and ever since the last one I made scathing remarks about it was hard to anticipate the following episodes, but they have turned it around! Firstly each have been limited by their thirty minutes cap, and secondly the fact is, that it is the last season and so many plot lines have to tie up and end, so was I supposed to give them a chance and keep watching? Fortunately I did, and oh how was I rewarded!

Just when you feel like the series is getting to great levels of entertainment it ends, so it has put me in a state of depression, I didn’t even want to visit my own Entourage Fan site and write the latest reviews. Way too depressed!

But here we are, on the eve of tomorrow evening’s Grand Finale of Entourage. The last episode of Season 8, and the final episode of the entire series. We will watch, we will laugh and we will most definitely shed a tear or two. For we, as Entourage Fans have become one of the brothers.

I will be back with reviews of the previous episodes, before I come to the last, but till then I want to savour this moment. With a feeling of great anticipation for what might be the best episode ever, I would like to send my thanks to Mark Wahlberg, Doug Ellin and all the Entourage Crew for creating a light-hearted yet thoroughly entertaining and enthralling series that so many of us have enjoyed since 2004. Seven years of the best thirty minutes spent – every week it was on.

During the beginning of Season 8, I didn’t hope for any kind of Entourage movie, but after the last few, there is definitely enough there to make a complete destroyer of a film. I can’t fuckin’ wait for it to come out.

So invite your own brothers and sisters over, crack open a few beverages and shed a tear for too and enjoy some quality ENTOURAGE!

If you feel like reading more about the final Episode, the British Guardian news site have written a nice piece about Entourage: Goodbye to Vincent Chase and his Entourage, so read and believe.

Season 8 Episode 3 “One Last Shot” Review

One Last Shot, really did end with one last shot for Carl Hertz. Out of 10, I’d rate this a 6. Some good parts, some bad parts…

HBO’s refresher as usual:

My breakdown:
Vincent Chase: VINCENT IS NOT A FREAKING ADDICT!!!….sorry, just had to get it out there. Even after last season’s antics, I’m not convinced that Vincent Chase was any kind of addict. Maybe to sex? But that’s about it. As a result this story line just doesn’t work for me, and to see him helping out another brother in need just doesn’t work either, so I’m kind of glad that Carl Ertz topped himself. Would be great if somehow they got Vincent criminally involved and made him go to jail or something…haha just kiddin’ friends.

Johnny Drama: A little lame this episode, with little Drama action. Nothing too great to mention except for the fact that his new voice-over partner is so bad it’s hilarious!

E: Also on the sidelines this episode..

Turtle: Turtle seems to be doing his own thing this season, and I keep loving it. He’s grown in his own confidence, and I hope he continues on his way up. He’s almost replacing E as his right-hand man.

Ari Gold: Ari going on his first dinner-date in 34 years is just one big laugh, and the fact the he gets with Dana Gordon at the end of it all makes me intrigued about what’s going to be happening next with his wife, family and his agency. Go ARI, I want you to explode motherfucker!! He also got the quote of the episode, as per usual:

I would hack off my penis before I would ever allow you to work with Carl Ertz again

Episode 3 of this final season wasn’t as good as the last, although there are a couple of promising story lines with Ari and Turtle, and I also was hoping E would get back with Sloan to add to that. But seriously I’d like to reiterate that Vincent Chase isn’t a fucking drug addict, he is a pussy cat, and needs to get back to schmoozing the ladies, and adding notches to his belt. Amen.

Season 8 Episode 2 “Out With a Bang” Review

Out With a Bang, the second episode of season 8. Out of 10, I’d give it an 8, dropping two from being one of the best because it lacked some boobies…

Here’s a HBO’s refresher just in case you’ve already forgotten:

My breakdown:
Vincent Chase: Really a sideshow this episode. Despite the 20-page outline for his movie idea, there was nothing much to speak of! And surprisingly it was a decent episode at that, and can’t wait for the next.

Johnny Drama: Laughably gets entangled in a plot to walk out on the cartoon show with Andrew Dice Clay, Johnny’s co-star.

E: Presumably the episode was named after his break-up session with Sloan. I can’t believe that she’s possibly been written out of the series, this can’t be true! WE LOVE HER! And finally for once in the entire series, we actually feel for the douche-bag E.

Turtle: Love how he’s getting his own back…

One tequila ad, and the girl thinks she’s Angelina Jolie

That sealed the deal for me, for once Turtle will be able to knock back some bitches.

And finally our main man Ari Gold: We asked for more and we got it, Ari at his devastating best. Look out Bobby Flay, you can run but Ari will find!

One special mention goes to Scotty, Lloyd, Billy (Rhys Coiro), Mrs Gold, and Sloan for being amazing support characters with a few of them even outshining our boys!
