Season 8 Episode 2 “Out With a Bang” Review

Out With a Bang, the second episode of season 8. Out of 10, I’d give it an 8, dropping two from being one of the best because it lacked some boobies…

Here’s a HBO’s refresher just in case you’ve already forgotten:

My breakdown:
Vincent Chase: Really a sideshow this episode. Despite the 20-page outline for his movie idea, there was nothing much to speak of! And surprisingly it was a decent episode at that, and can’t wait for the next.

Johnny Drama: Laughably gets entangled in a plot to walk out on the cartoon show with Andrew Dice Clay, Johnny’s co-star.

E: Presumably the episode was named after his break-up session with Sloan. I can’t believe that she’s possibly been written out of the series, this can’t be true! WE LOVE HER! And finally for once in the entire series, we actually feel for the douche-bag E.

Turtle: Love how he’s getting his own back…

One tequila ad, and the girl thinks she’s Angelina Jolie

That sealed the deal for me, for once Turtle will be able to knock back some bitches.

And finally our main man Ari Gold: We asked for more and we got it, Ari at his devastating best. Look out Bobby Flay, you can run but Ari will find!

One special mention goes to Scotty, Lloyd, Billy (Rhys Coiro), Mrs Gold, and Sloan for being amazing support characters with a few of them even outshining our boys!

Season 8 Episode 1 “Home Sweet Home” Review

It’s back! After a massive hiatus, too long to even remember how long it was, Season 8 Episode 1 premiered last Sunday on the 24th of July. What do I think of it? What did you think of it?

Here’s the HBO Recap, to refresh your memory:

Well I loved how it started, with the gang all back on our screens, although I really think Doug missed a great opportunity with Vincent going into rehab, that would’ve been an awesome few episodes with the boys getting loose without their man Vinnie.

Here is my breakdown:
Vincent Chase: OK, so he does the Hollywood thing and does rehab for 90-days so he can get out of jail. As I said it would’ve been nice to see him suffering from boredom watching the ‘news’ etcetera, and maybe even fail a couple of times, who knows? One thing I really dislike is him running away from confrontation, is that really his character? Especially getting pissed off at his friends telling/not telling the truth. He’s beginning to look a lot like Golum – my precccciiiiioouuuuussssssss! A fucking weakling. Will be interesting to see what he does next!

Johnny Drama: We see the usual OCD-type that he is. Cleaning his brothers place, and generally doing the funny shit he always does. No surprises their! And that’s the way we like him. Even having his own successful show makes it easy watching for us fans. Finally nothing to whine about!

E: Love that he broke up with his absolutely stunning fiancee Sloan (played by the beautiful Emmanuelle Chriqui). Now that’s a story that will unfold, and I can’t wait to see what happens. Hopefully she gets featured more in this season (if not check out the cheeky 8 Good Reasons to Marry Sloan). E & Scott being in charge of the firm is quality, and definitely has the potential to brew some crazy stories. While Scott is definitely Eric’s chill pill, way fucking cooler and laid back as. He makes Eric look like a dweeb.

Turtle: Now there’s are two things that need to be said about Turtle, one that he’s lost some fucking weight. He must be a machine now. And two, he was offered a fuckin’ threesome! Damn there is some good things to come out of this boy! Looking forward to it!!

And finally our main man Ari Gold: We have a man crush on this guy. Our hearts died a little when he was trying to win his wife back, and his wife slammed him with the fact that she was seeing someone else. We got a hint of his anger when he was after a drink, and I loved that scene. Ari is the center in which the Entourage world revolves, give us more!!

BUT Out of all the positives for each character, and the fact that one of my favorite series is back, I was still a little disappointed in this episode. My favorite part was still the credit song. In fact here it is before I rant too much about the negatives of this episode. I should just be glad the series is back! BOOM!

We’re back!

After a year and one season (season 7) hiatus, I’m back with all things Entourage Season 8. Season 7 was great, although not the best and a bit short, and the break that followed I was lucky enough to encounter a couple of other absolutely fantastic series in Boardwalk Empire by Martin Scorsese, and Game Of Thrones. Both following in same vein as The Wire, highly intellectual, and deeply layered story telling.

After their debut seasons for their respective seasons, I was waiting for Entourage to come back and give us back the totally chillaxed, easy going series that it has mostly been. And it saddens me that this will be the final season, but as they says all good things come to an end. And hopefully as a bonus, we’ll have an Entourage film that should go absolutely nuts!

Over the next couple of hours anticipating the first episode, I’ll try make your mouths water even more…. enjoy the ride!
