Episode 9 ‘Security Briefs’ Recap

Ads by Google

Overall I thought the ‘Security Briefs’ was at the bottom rung of Season 6′s ladder, although it has to be said it was probably Turtle’s best episode yet. So Doug Ellin’s recap was interesting, as he describes Jerry Ferrara’s real life experiences as the motivation for this episode:

And finally Lloyd has a VIDEO diary to share with us all. I love the idea of these video diaries, but I just can’t stand reading his ‘blog’. They should give us more video, and because they’re short it’s quick bit-sized entertainment that pulls us through the week till the next ep. It would be cool to see the other characters get involved in some kind of extra videos playing their characters or even behind the set through the real actors. Maybe it could be security footage or telephone recordings etc. I think Lloyd’s video diaries and Doug Ellin’s behind-the-scenes have both been very welcome additions to this season.

After seeing Vincent Chase getting dressed up in his ‘Enzo’ gear, could he be finally ready to go back on set again? For some reason I think it will happen in the last episode. It would be nice if next season was devoted to his film making again. Next episode should be awesome!

Some of your reviews, comments and just plain random Entourage stuff coming from the twitterverse:

I think I’m the only person who still watches Entourage, but REGARDLESS: E’s girlfriend is possibly the worst actress ever.

Entourage is in no way as interesting or progressive as Sex in the City. If this is the boy version, boys are boring…

Episode 9 ‘Security Briefs’ Review

What a brilliant sorority prank! It took a couple of episodes to find out that some of Turtle’s fellow college buddies (or hot fuckin’ girlfriends!) broke in and took Turtle’s underpants (and not the poor carrot top) , and they were even wearing them, how awesome was that. It really made the episode, which was weird, because Ari Gold usually make its but last night he really sucked… Ari was one mean mother-fucker, he wasn’t even funny half of the time. I almost thought this episode should’ve been titled ‘Bad Mood’ or something because almost everyone was in a shitty mood except our golden boy Vincent Chase.

A couple of scenes that caught my eye in Security Briefs: When we see Vincent putting his back into it (Dawn Olivieri) while Drama is conversing with the ‘Pleasure Chest’ worker, Sadie (damn she was fine! played by Inbar Lavi). While that whole scene wasn’t shocking, it was still funny as fuck. And the second scene when all of Turtle’s fans pull up their skirts to reveal that they are wearing his underpants, especially when the one that’s not still shows her thong, yeeeeeeeeeeeew! Turtle is going to be in trouble, and to be honest it will be awesome when he does. Maybe it’s the sadistic part of a my male personality that loves when these events happen on Entourage. OK, it’s not as shocking as Californication, but at least it’s not as crass.

Ashley appears again. Oh and I almost forgot about the results from the ‘Ashley Vs. Sloan’ Vote, which I should have in the next few days. Her character is just a bit lame, being suspicious about E’s phone call with Drama and Turtle, I mean what the fuck was that? Why doesn’t she just ring the number if she’s that paranoid E is cheating?? Sloan definitely has to return to rescue Eric out of a bad relationship.

Let’s not forget the cameos from Zac Efron, Frank Darabont and the second or third appearance of Peter Stormare. Zac Efron could have been one of the worst celebrities to be on, but he actually wasn’t too bad at all, I like how he was introduced, and it was great to see there was a MILF involved. Frank Darabont and his story about the convict that wanted to ‘Shawshank’ his ass was classic, especially when he pulls out a gun from his satchel. These cameo’s saved this episode, because the feud between Ari and Lloyd was just too intense. And wasn’t it really wierd that Lloyd was immediately replaced by ‘Craig/Greg?’ (Sterling Sulieman I was expecting Lizzie Grant or just some stunning woman with beautiful eyes… weren’t you?

The soundtrack:

  • “Always More (Yuksek Remix)” by Autokratz
    [Ashley is paranoid]
  • “Sweet Side of Evil” by Brain Police
[Pleasure Chest Sadie talks to Drama]
  • “Get Fed” by The High Decibles
[Lloyd talks to Ari about the 100 days.]
  • “Terrifying” by Pop Levi
[Music playing in the Pleasure Chest.]
  • “Mournin’ Light” by Pop Levi
[Music playing in the Pleasure Chest.]
  • “Dita Dimone” by Pop Levi
[Music playing in the Pleasure Chest.]
  • “Piece of Clay” by Marvin Gaye

Congratulations again goes to Entourage for reaching the 75th Episode!

Episode 9 ‘Security Briefs’ Preview

First of all, we would like to Congratulate HBO and the Cast and Crew of Entourage for their 75th Episode of the series. We love the show and its up’s and down’s and on behalf of us fans, we all wish you the best of luck and hopefully break the 100 Episode mark which you all truly deserve!

The next episode is Episode 9 in Season 6, and as I mentioned earlier is the 75th episode of Entourage. Entitled ‘Security Briefs’, it looks like Vincent Chase steps up his security after that break-in with Curtis Tucker the key suspect. Zac Efron’s appearance is due, thanks to Ari Gold stealing him from Adam Davies – Ari’s Arch-Nemesis. While Adam Davies offers Lloyd a job as an agent (will Lloyd finally have a worthy part this season?). Meanwhile, Drama goes on his own mission, and investigates Vince’s suspected stalker and typical for Ashley’s character she grows increasingly suspicious of Eric.

Personally I hope that we all don’t mind the continuing appearance of Ashley (we’ll see how she goes in the Ashley Vs. Sloan vote on Saturday 12th), because her re-appearance could turn for the worse for all us Entourage fans.

It’s just too bad we have to wait a week longer for this episode. ‘Security Briefs’ finally looks like Vincent Chase is involved in something, and Turtle receiving extra attention at College should be another laugh and a half.
