Episode 9 ‘Security Briefs’ Preview

First of all, we would like to Congratulate HBO and the Cast and Crew of Entourage for their 75th Episode of the series. We love the show and its up’s and down’s and on behalf of us fans, we all wish you the best of luck and hopefully break the 100 Episode mark which you all truly deserve!

The next episode is Episode 9 in Season 6, and as I mentioned earlier is the 75th episode of Entourage. Entitled ‘Security Briefs’, it looks like Vincent Chase steps up his security after that break-in with Curtis Tucker the key suspect. Zac Efron’s appearance is due, thanks to Ari Gold stealing him from Adam Davies – Ari’s Arch-Nemesis. While Adam Davies offers Lloyd a job as an agent (will Lloyd finally have a worthy part this season?). Meanwhile, Drama goes on his own mission, and investigates Vince’s suspected stalker and typical for Ashley’s character she grows increasingly suspicious of Eric.

Personally I hope that we all don’t mind the continuing appearance of Ashley (we’ll see how she goes in the Ashley Vs. Sloan vote on Saturday 12th), because her re-appearance could turn for the worse for all us Entourage fans.

It’s just too bad we have to wait a week longer for this episode. ‘Security Briefs’ finally looks like Vincent Chase is involved in something, and Turtle receiving extra attention at College should be another laugh and a half.

The Guardian on Entourage

The UK newspaper ‘The Guardian’ has an excellent article about Entourage, by John Patterson. John actually visits the set on the Caltech campus and speaks to a few of the cast and crew. This is an excellent insight for new and old fans, and there’s even a few scoops about the rest of the season (Have a look below – if you dare!). Interesting to note the inspiration for each of the characters, Turtle being based on Mark Wahlberg’s friend Donnie “The Donkey” Carroll (aka rapper Murda One), Mark’s cousin Johnny Alves is the inspiration for Drama. Eric ‘E’ Murphy is based on Mark’s friend – Eric Weinstein (A credited producer!). While oddly Vincent Chase’s inspiration is actor Vince Vaughn, I guess there’s some slight personality resemblance there.

Also awesome to note one of Mark Wahlberg’s buddies: Rasta Russ giving Doug Ellin a bit of script advice

(Entourage) needs more naked girls!

Something I think we’d all agree on, let’s get it up to The Sopranos level, and we’ll be almost satisfied.

Here are the spoilers and scoops for those who want to know:
Adrian Grenier reveals “This season for me is all about coasting and relishing being back on top – all girls and smiles for me!” while Kevin Dillon says “(Drama) will do the dumbest thing he’s ever done in his whole career, or in the history of the show. It Just can’t be topped, it’s so dumb”, can’t wait for that one, it will have to be the most cringe worthy moment ever. Also revealed is Jerry Ferrara’s real life relationship with Jamie-Lynn Sigler, which I had no fuckin’ idea about – no wonder the chemistry looks so good on screen.

Peter Stormare is guest starring as Vince’s Security Consultant, you’ll all know him from The Big Lebowski as Karl Hung. He’s one funny lookin’ mutha fucka. Finally, the Entourage could possibly have an episode or a few scenes at The White House? Now that would be unbelievable. President Obama meeting Vincent Chase and his Entourage. Can’t Wait (fingers crossed).

E’s Blackberry

After the watching the last episode again, it was intriguing to see E’s Blackberry messages when he receives and subsequently deletes the “Sorry!” text from Sloan. While that happens we get a peek at a few of his friends’ messages, and so we dug up a few pieces of information about each of them. And they are a rather interesting read, could they possibly feature in future storylines?!

First on his message list is Sloan, then comes Danny Carcillo. Danny is one mean mother f*cker! And an Entourage Fan like us! Check his strong right-arm out in action:

Danny Mcbrine or is it supposed to be Danny Mcbride? (thanks matt) – after some research (thanks wikipedia/imdb), we found out that Danny Mcbride is an actor, screenwriter and producer. He’s also appearing in HBO’s new show called ‘Eastbound & Down’ as Kenny Powers. Cross-advertising – thanks HBO.

While Nancy Juvonen is quite an established producer, and wife of Jimmy Fallon with some unknown links to HBO?! Maybe just as a celebrity. And finally John Driscoll, who is an up-and-coming Actor playing Coop Bradshaw in Guiding Light. Is he possibly one of E’s future or even current clients? Or more likely Kevin Connolly’s stepfather (thanks newsday!) Nice to see some subtle details in the episodes.
