Episode 12 ‘Give a Little Bit’ Recap

Ads by Google

A few days have passed since the season finale, which we’ve soaked in and watched it several times. We are now ready to look at Episode 12′s general reception. First off, we have the good news, that the final episode drew 2.5 million viewers, a massive 21% jump on last season’s finale.

Now that wasn’t entirely a surprise, the last two episodes have been nothing but the Entourage that we all fell in love with. It’s just further proof that they were fuckin’ great eps.

Entourage ended its sixth season on a high note, drawing 2.5 million viewers, up 21% when compared with last season’s finale, and 3 million viewers overall when combined with the 11:45 p.m. re-airing.

This will surely gain much support from HBO, and hopefully for a great Season 7. I know we’d all love a whole season devoted to Vincent’s shoot in Italy for ‘Enzo: The Movie’, but I’m not so sure that would happen, hopefully they’d give us a few episodes. It could almost be a homage to ‘The Godfather’ when Michael Corleone goes to Italy, and finds his Italian lover, maybe the same could happen to Vincent Chase?

Was that really an Entourage season finale? It was so… good.

TVSquad.com had quite a positive review, saying that Entourage really should have ‘double-length installments more often’, I didn’t even realize it was a longer episode, only by about 10 minutes. Not really a ‘double-installment’ in my books.

Overall, the episode was epic and I give it 5 Hot Chicks Out of 5
[source: tvfodder.com]

One of our competing blogs at tvfodder.com rated this episode a 5 out of 5. Janaki also mentions about Matt Damon’s post-credit appearance, which I totally forgot about in my previous post – “Make sure you stay till the end credits are over for some hysterical moments with Matt”. It is definitely worth it so check out.

Episode 12 ‘Give a Little Bit’ was rated 9.6/10, Superb!
[source: TV.com]

Out of the three community reviews on TV.com, the general consensus was perfectly quoted by user 24treehills: “Good finale to a not so good season…” and with a rating of 9.6 out of 10, I’d say it was a hit.

Time for the usual Doug Ellin’s Inside-the-episode to sum up this recap:

And if you still want more on this episode, I’ll be posting up the location credits soon, so stayed tuned and refresh soon.

Episode 12 ‘Give a Little Bit’ Review

The final episode of Season 6 was all that I expected it to be. No, it wasn’t the best, but I don’t think it needed to be. It certainly started out like everything was turning to worse, but eventually it all worked out. A happy fucking Hollywood ending, but Entourage style. It would have been predictable for Season 6 if Turtle got with Jamie-Lynn, E didn’t get Sloan, Drama got into Melrose 2009, Vince went off to Italy solo, and Ari didn’t get the merger he dreamed off, wouldn’t it?

The tussle for turf and clash of ego’s between Ari Gold and Terrence McQuewick was entertaining plus, Ari was just unstoppable, poor Barbara (Beverly D’Angelo). I can’t believe Ari Gold apologized to Lloyd, I thought it would never happen, but I think it was highly necessary. Perrey Reeves appearance was the bomb too, personally wish she was more involved in the show. I wonder if Terrance (Malcolm Mcdowell) will be back, it would be great if he still had one eye on Ari’s company next season, imagine if he gave Ari the shits and dropped in on him every now and then.
How good was Ari’s paintball gun firing scene! That would’ve been so fuckin’ satisfying to do.

While that was happening Turtle had his non-existent fling with UCLA Chick, which was mega-disappointing. I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of her next season though. As for Jamie-Lynn Sigler, it will be sad to see her leave (say hello New Zealand!), but maybe she’ll be back in Season 8?! But will Turtle be interested then? For all those waiting to find out who the UCLA Chick is, the actor that plays her is Jana Kramer, which I’m pretty sure I mentioned in one of my previous posts, but thought I’d put in here for good measure.

The biggest shock, came from E with his proposal to Sloan. What I loved about this was the fact that it happened while they were kind of fighting, and not the cliche at the restaurant on bended knee. That was E being one smooth mother fucker.

Sloan is definitely a keeper, and now that E is back with her I can imagine we’ll be seeing a lot more of her and her booty. She was shmokin’ in that white get-up at the airport. More screen time for her please.

Matt Damon as previously mentioned was one intense mofo, definitely ‘Jason Bourne-d’ everyone. And let’s not forget the King LeBron James, I almost feel sorry for him, he should have had a few more lines, but it was great that he was on. A living legend. And let’s not forget Bono’s Web cam appearance, fuckin’ classic!

Episode 12 promised to be big, and it was, I loved it, but I still didn’t think it was as good as the last episode. It certainly wasn’t my favorite this season. But it was good and I really enjoyed it. And with another season over, I think it is great that I don’t have the feeling that Entourage will end next season. To be honest I give it at least 2 more seasons…let’s hope it can reach 10 with a good storyline. Enjoy.

Episode 6 ‘Murphy’s Lie’ Review

I have to start of this review by quoting the scene between Ari Gold and his son:

Ari: What are you doing buddy?
Son: I’m waking you up with my mind!
Ari: Good work!

This really has to be crowned one of my favorite scenes and really started this five star Ari Gold episode.

E’s little apology was fuckin’ pathetic. That whole apology scene topped the vomitus moments between Sloan and Turtle in the first couple of episodes. Eric needs to get on with it! Can’t believe Ashley dumped him, should’ve been the other way round, although it would have to be Eric to get dumped like that.

Vince’s little escapade with another student hotty (UPDATE: it’s actually Tiffany Brouwer!, thanks Ana Lucasey..you’re all so hot! tssss!) and the dejavu pick-up line of ‘I’ve got 45 minutes to class, you wanna hang?’ working like a fuckin’ charm, pun intended. That was gold. And the fact that he was part of a sex tape was another wicked moment. Let’s hope it gets released in the show and is part of the storyline, maybe even have Paris Hilton giving our Vinnie some advice?!

Matt Letscher guest starring as the studio exec Dan Coakley (Koglin?!) was scary, he was one nasty son of a gun and don’t forget Steve Nash’s cameo, he looked like some mad rocker Ñ cool as.

As I said earlier, this was an Ari Gold five star episode. With quotes and quotes from Ari, it really needs no description:

Lizzie Grant: I was out working.
Ari Gold: Working who?
Lizzie Grant: Jon Stamos, and I signed him!
Ari Gold: With his pen or his cock?

You so much as eye fuck another agent in this building, I will deport you naked to the Taliban
Ari Gold to Lizzie

One in very few guys get that ‘have a Free Piece of Pussy Pass’, you my friend have it!
Ari Gold to Andrew Klein

I thought Drama and Jamie-lynn’s kissing scene was a bit of a downer since we knew it was going to happen last week, no doubt it was funny especially Turtle’s reaction, but otherwise it was just a bit ‘meh’. I think Vincent visiting college with Turtle was definitely more entertaining!

And now for rather limited music selection featured in this episode:

  • “It’s a feast” by Shawn Anthony
    [Vince, Turtle drive into UCLA]
  • “Going Steady ” by Death From Above 1979
    [Drama looking for Dan Coakley]
  • “Les Sauvages” by Les Sans Culottes
[Vince in Dorm Room making the Sex Video]
  • “Reservoir Park” by The Dutchess & The Duke
    [End Credits]

The pick of the ‘twiviews’:

I did like Ashley on Entourage.. I hope they keep her, and bring Sloan more into the triangle..
