Episode 3 ‘One Car, Two Car, Red Car, Blue Car’ Review

The third episode of season six and Happy Birthday Turtle! 50 cent had a really neat f*ckin’ cameo, riding in a white (Bentley?!) car beside Turtle’s California, who obviously has some rep in the industry ever since his relationship with Saigon back in the day. 50 makes a snide remark which really makes Turtle tick, and this kind of sets off this ep’s story about Turtle becoming his own man. This is pretty much a demon he’s been fighting every now and then since day one. (Catch 50 cent’s twits)

Ari has an awesome father-son talk with Turtle, and the advice he gives to E with the subsequent laughter is just awesome. Ari Gold has reached the top, and I think he’s almost tipping the ‘too nice’ point. Nasty Ari will have to unleash soon.

We were all happy to see Charlie in action again, but not under these circumstances, perhaps Charlie just needs to ‘pay his dues’ as Ari Gold says to Turtle. Hopefully he’ll bounce back as the series goes on. I can really see Vinnie becoming Charlie’s mentor.

Don’t Be Somber, At Least You Look Good
— 50 Cent, to Turtle

The show has also been focusing a lot on E and how he’s actually becoming his own man — being the producer he onced dreamed of, and we really love it. Although one character trait that really f*cks things up for him, is his need to be in a relationship. E needs to KEEP PLAYIN’ THE FIELD! C’mon dude, it was supposed to be a one-nighter and now she’s giving you advice about your show?! Damn girl, put some pants on!

Would be nice to see Eric steal some of Vince’s thunder, by becoming a successful producer/agent, and get the girls to chase him. I heard rumors about a famous director who used to hand out business cards to single women whilst in LA’s infamous bumper to bumper traffic. And he’d score more than a couple of visits the same night. This has to be Eric ‘E’ Murphy one day.

All in all, a good episode, not the best so far, probably rank it 3rd for Season 6. Kind of getting tired of Turtle and Jamie-Lynn (Vomitus?). Would love to see Ashley go and E getting Sloan jealous once again. And it’s about time Drama and Vin did some real work…haha… My fingers are crossed we get to see a bit more ‘Enzo: The Movie’ in the making.

Let’s not forget the hot Alicia Silverstone look-a-like Janet Varney, who plays Amy Miller, Eric’s studio exec (also seen in reDOMption). Hopefully E does her soon.

Time for the music:

  • “On Fire” — Van Halen
    [Boys racing Ferrari's]
  • “The A.B.C. of L.O.V.E.” — Pravda
    [Lloyd greets E]
  • “OK, Ya Right” — 50 Cent
    [The 50 Cent Scene]
  • “Music” — Erick Sermon
    [Jamie arrives with Turtle's Porsche]
  • “Ghost Rider” — Suicide
    [E marches towards Amy]
  • “Everybody Loves Me” — One Republic
    [Turtle's Party]
  • “Can’t Keep No Good Boy Down” — Parlor Mob
    [End Credits]

Episode 3 Preview

The third episode of season six will probably be about cars, right? Aptly named ‘One Car, Two Car, Red Car, Blue Car’ this episode should enthrall all the Ferrari fans out there. Let’s hope they insert some cunning references to the overall episode number sixty-nine. Check-out the preview, it looks über-impressive:

The official press kit has the following description for the episode; “Turtle contemplates his future career path, and seeks out Ari for advice. Meanwhile, Eric gets nervous about Charlie’s (Bow Wow) pilot after getting some unsolicited feedback from his new fling.”

It’s about f*ckin’ time we see Bow Wow back in action! He is one guy that should become a permanent part of the Entourage team. Hopefully our wishes will come true.

HBO has released another ‘Inside the Episode’ video for Episode 2 (Ep.68) ‘Amongst Friends’ which is another interesting insight into Doug Ellin’s world. Cool to find out that Amongst Friends is a title of Rob Weiss’ 1993 Movie. We haven’t seen it, have you? Worth seeing?

Awesome how Doug uses his own real life experiences to tell the Entourage story. He explains how in Episode 2, when Vinnie walks out onto the red carpet, it was a throw-back from when he went to the Gangs Of New York Premiere and Leo DiCaprio walked out and the crowd went berserk.

Episode 3 looks like another sumptuous episode. Definitely lookin’ forward to my sunday night with the boys, and hopefully some girls too.
